Stethoscope has been refreshed!

Methods Stethoscope has now been refreshed to the M5 release of HES data for 16/17, this brings many of our indicators up to August 16/17.

This release also re introduces the Drilldown element following emergency maintenance. At some levels of the Drilldown page supressed entries are showing as -0 rather than <=5 which will be corrected as soon as possible.

Stethoscope has been refreshed!

Methods Stethoscope has now been refreshed to the M3 release of HES data for 16/17, this brings many of our indicators up to June 16/17.

This release also includes further speed improvements to Alerts, as well as more logic enhancements when creating My View reports.

New data!

Methods Stethoscope has now been refreshed to the M2 release of HES data for 16/17, this brings many of our indicators up to May 16/17. And many of the indicators which use publicly available national datasets have also been updated in this release.

You will see in this release that We have made a slight change to the My View report form layout. The functionality is still the same, but we've made it a bit more compact. There are also logic improvements to My View and speed improvements to the Alerts View. All your comments and feedback are encouraged and welcomed as only you can tell us if we are getting it right, so please get in touch.

Methods Stethoscope has now been refreshed to the M13 release of HES data for 2016.

Whilst there is no new content or functionality in this release, we are still working on bringing new stuff to Stethoscope for future refreshes. So keep an eye on our news page for more information.

Methods Stethoscope has now been refreshed to the M12 release of HES for 2016/17. This brings data up to March for most indicators.

We've been busy building many new indicators recently, and are pleased to publish them in this release

  • 23 new indicators in the Information and Coding Domain
  • Emergency re-operations: Percentage within 30 days of an elective admission
  • Emergency re-operations: Percentage within 30 days of a non-elective admission
  • Average pre-operative Length of Stay for elective admissions
  • Average post-operative Length of Stay for elective admissions
  • Average pre-operative Length of Stay for non-elective admissions
  • Average post-operative Length of Stay for non-elective admissions
  • Bed Days count
  • PbR income for inpatient activity (Avg income per bed day) (Pounds)
  • We have also enhanced our Impact Factor within the Alerts with a value so you gauge the size of the impact you can have on the given indicator.
